Some people aren't big into Valentine's Day, but I've always loved it (even when I was single). As I child, I got small gifts from my parents and grandparents and I enjoy sending out cards for most holidays, including Valentine's Day. I always enjoyed the Valentine parties at school and the little "mailboxes" where I got those sweet little Valentine's from all my classmates. The tradition of Valentine's cards extended long past elementary school for me and I still send out Valentine's cards each year to family and friends. In the past, I've often made homemade Valentine's cards, but this year I'm excited to send out photo cards with a picture of my sweet pea.
Do you remember choosing Valentine's Day cards as a child? There was usually an entire aisle in the store with those box sets of Valentines with all the favorite kid's character. I could spend hours in that aisle looking at every pack, trying to pick the perfect one for my classmates. One that was cute and girly, but also a tad bit funny. I was so excited to see that Shutterfly offers "classroom" Valentines, those little one your kids can bring to class, personalized with their picture! I am especially excited to order some of these this year to send from Lulu to her baby friends and family throughout the country. Here are a few of my favorites:
They still have those goofy, sappy sweet little sayings, but you can add your own pictures too! So much better than a Valentine of that annoying sponge character!
For Lulu's Nana and Papa (and for Daddy, shhhh! don't tell him), she's going to be getting them some sweet gifts. Some of my favorite gift ideas are:
